About Me

I am currently a dental hygiene instructor at Madison College, in Madison, Wisconsin. I received a B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene from Marquette University and a Master's degree in Adult Education from University of Wisconsin, Platteville. I began my teaching career as an associate professor at the University of Minnesota, School of Dental Hygiene. I have a combined 30 years of experience in education and clinical practice with an interdisciplinary background in Health and Wellness. In addition to teaching, I provide continuing education, patient education and practice management resources to dental professionals through Crest and Oral-B National website and have published for the American Dental Hygiene Association (ADHA) on the topic of Nutrigenomics. I enjoy putting learning into context and bring life experiences to the profession of dental hygiene while striving to genuinely connect with students. I enjoy teaching Dental Health Safety, Nutrition & Dental Health, and Seminar/Case Study, as well as clinical instruction at Madison College. I strive to encourage self-direction, confidence, and passion in our chosen profession. I challenge, question, use humor, and teach with compassion.
