My name is Erick Morales and I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's in both Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and a GPA of 3.92. I am currently enrolled as a part-time student in their Master's program for Dynamics, Systems, and Controls. I have had tutoring experience for the past 2 years, having mentored students from elementary up to college level in Math and Physics subjects. I have done this through different tutoring scenarios ; from working 1-on-1 sessions, up to leading reviews in a classroom for over 100 students. Also, I have been exposed to virtual tutoring through the Tutoring for Engineering Excellence program, in which several topics were chosen to be discussed in video tutoring. Having exceeded in a challenging curriculum with math/and physics as its core fundamentals, I believe I have the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to guide others through equally challenging topics and courses as their tutor.

I recently graduated from the University of Houston with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, and I am in the process of transitioning to a research position. I chose to pursue a career in academia because I have always enjoyed the scientific process, and learning and teaching are some of the most enjoyable experiences a person can have.Through the course of my academic career, I have explored numerous topics. More importantly, I have conveyed complex ideas to others. One of the most important aspects of technical research is being able to communicate your thoughts effectively. I understand the importance of taking a step-by-step approach and packaging ideas in ways that people can visualize.I am, at my core, a technically-minded problem solver. The students I work with successfully complete their assignments and gain an increased familiarity with the content. I also have numerous machine learning projects with Python/Jupyter Notebook and explore my passion through tackling new data problems every day. My goal of the first session with any student is to gain a rapport with them and find common ground so we feel comfortable with each other.
