I am passionate about helping students because I know first hand how hard and stressful nursing school is! Throughout my time in nursing school and beyond, I've been able to guide other students, helping them gain a better understanding of the curriculum. I am able to simplify the information, giving students a better approach and confidence when answering questions.

I was a high school math and physics teacher for 9 years, so I have a wealth of experience helping struggling students learn a variety of subjects. I am a graduate of Bellevue University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Adult Education. I am also a Licensed Practical Nurse. I have worked in nursing roles at hospitals. I have also worked in roles such as billing and registration. The last twelve years I have taught healthcare education. I have served in roles such as program director, clinical coordinator along with instructor.

I'm Shelley and I LOVE to help students learn! I am a nurse and an educator! I can take tough topics and make them easy to understand-- I helped a family member bounce back from a TWO grade-level deficit in math and reading just by teaching her some great study skills and breaking down difficult subjects using examples she could understand. Learning is for life, and educating is my passion! I'm enthusiastic, imparting fun and humor into things that one may find otherwise mundane.

I am always teaching, according to my wife. She says I never miss a chance to help a person gain knowledge. She thinks I do not trust her to know anything, but I do. I enjoy showing people the things I have learned in my 70 plus years of life.
