I am currently a Master's student at the Rochester Institute of Technology, finishing up a Computer Science degree. I am interested specifically in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning and have two years professional experience in the industry. I have been employed at companies in California, Pennsylvania, and Florida.

I am a teacher with over 13 years of experience teaching English Language Arts and poetry. I am a highly accomplished vocalist and spoken word artist, having performed all over the U.S. and internationally. I am also an audio engineer and producer with industry experience in radio (StoryCorps.org), as well as a certified mindfulness and meditation instructor.

I am a diligent and self-motivated tutor with a strong passion for computer science and data analysis. My role as a data analyst for the women's Division I team at Florida International University (FIU) has allowed me to apply my technical skills in real-world scenarios, particularly in Excel and Python. These experiences have not only sharpened my analytical abilities but also enriched my understanding of the intricacies of data-driven decision-making.

I am working for income much less than in the past and tutoring is a way for me to continue learning and sharing how to learn and what I have learned. I am a husband, father, and grandfather and greatly enjoy those roles.

I am a PhD student of Kansas State University. I received my Bachelor of Geography Education and English Literature in China. Since graduation, I have worked at Liuzhou Teachers' College for a while. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and that which enriches my life: dancing, running, baking and cooking.

I am diligent in setting deadlines, editing drafts of term papers, and sharing scholarly resources. My mentoring strategy is both nurturing and persistent, probing the students to find their authorial voice and then guiding them in discovering a logical mode of argumentation.
