I am currently the 4th-8th grade Newcomer English as a Second Language Teacher at an elementary school in Glendale, Arizona. As an English as a Second Language Teacher, I am well-versed in intervention and intensive tutoring for reading, writing, and grammar. I have taught students in Pre-K through 8th grade, and am very familiar with the academic expectations of students throughout these grades.

I am currently tutoring an elementary student. Through my tutoring experience I have found ways to modify standards and to to gain feedback from my student. As I am a linguistic lover, I like to explore the language field with my student by sharing the topics we both like most.

I am a graduate of Brigham Young University where I received a BA in Spanish translation. My studies included ESL, Social studies, music, international cultures, and editing. During my formal education and since, I have sought out opportunities in the US and other countries to bring people together across cultural barriers. I love language's capacity to express and demonstrate cultural richness and uniqueness.

I'm currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Arizona State University as well as a minor in Spanish. I served a two-year mission in Peru for my church. It was there that I learned and grew to love the Spanish language. For this reason I tutor Spanish. I also tutor high school and middle school level math, such as geometry and algebra.
