I am a current law student at Washington University in St. Louis and also graduated summa cum laude from their undergraduate program in 2014. I have dual citizenship with the US and Chile, and my hispanic roots have always been very important to me. I grew up speaking Spanish but have also dedicated a significant portion of my academic studies to Spanish language and literature as well. I am passionate about helping others reach their goals and take pride in helping make the Spanish language and various Spanish-speaking cultures more accessible to anyone willing to learn.

I am passionate about students learning the wonderful Spanish language! I teach all levels of Spanish, including Conversational Spanish and SAT Subject Tests. While I am not Hispanic, I took Spanish classes every year from the second grade through high school. I then went to Rice University for college, where I took a Spanish class every semester, including a medical Spanish interpreting internship. After that I went to medical school, where I worked as a Spanish medical interpreter for doctors and launched a Medical Spanish curriculum. I also love movies, music, and books in Spanish. I know what it's like approaching this language from the outside, and I have a lot of helpful tricks to break down and simplify the language. I will not only help you ace your tests but also develop a fluency and love for the language! I love what I do so I am a fun, patient, and effective learning partner.

i am a student at The University of Pennsylvania studying business and computer science. In high school, I founded Mu Alpha Theta and ran it all four years of high school. I love teaching students in all aspects of math and science.

I am a rising sophomore majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Data Science at Rice University in Houston, TX. Naturally, my favorite subjects to teach are math and computer science, particularly programming languages like Python, Java, and Scratch. I have found great enrichment in these seemingly daunting areas, and I hope to make them more easily accessible for others. As a founding member of the Ready for College Leadership club (RCL), I mentored high school freshmen and sophomores to help them succeed in high school and prepare for college admissions, while also providing academic aid. The best part of working with students is watching them grow not just as a learner, but also as a thinker. I always encourage students to be curious and let their true interests be incorporated into lessons. In my spare time, I love learning languages; I am a heritage Spanish speaker and a self-taught Portuguese speaker. I also enjoy playing guitar and practicing new songs to sing.

I'm a second-year student at Rice University majoring in Biochemistry and Cell Biology as well as in English. My unusual double major is a result of my inability to choose a favorite subject--I love literature and science! This love of learning translates naturally to my role as a tutor. Because I love learning, I look for ways to transmit my passions to others by teaching them. Another reason I enjoy tutoring lies in my own experience as a student. I had to work very hard for the grades it took to get to college, so I understand the problems of the struggling student, and I try my best to relate the methods I personally used to overcome those obstacles. Hobbies: reading, writing, books, music, yoga, art

I am a second year law student at the University of Chicago who hails from the San Francisco Bay Area! I tutor the SAT, ESL, and Spanish. I was an AVID tutor in high school, and after college I taught an ESL class and tutored a high school student in Spanish. In law school, I am involved with the Lawyers in the Classroom program. My tutoring philosophy is based on listening to students work through problems and helping them to spot their confusions or incorrect assumptions. I believe students learn much better when they aren't simply told the right answer or right reasoning; they need to get there on their own.
