I am a Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology graduate and currently attend Vanderbilt University majoring in Computer Engineering with a minor in Business. I've tutored in various subjects for about 6 years now. I've done it so much, one of the companies I started was tutoring-based. In all, I am a technology-oriented entrepreneur, an impact-driven member of the community, and a striving academic. My passion for computer engineering and dedication to solving the world's problems push me to continue to be better tomorrow than I am today. I am currently pursuing a career in engineering and business where I hope to improve the lives of those around me every step of the way.

I'm a recent college graduate from the University of Chicago and young professional based in Washington, DC, and currently working in international development. I have substitute taught STEM and English to all levels of college-preparatory high schoolers. I also established a peer-to-peer tutoring and mentoring program at my former high school and developed curricula centered around standardized test preparation and college admissions. In college, I coordinated outreach to promising underrepresented minority students, developing and implementing seminars designed to guide them through the admissions process for top universities, bolster their chances of success, and connect them with resources aimed at increasing access and affordability. Among other things, I have a strong background and experience in various types of academic and professional writing. My stints with college classes and all sorts of professional organizations have equipped me with foundational skills in technical writing, strategic communication, blogging, and journalism that I'm always excited to pass on to the next generation of academic superstars!

I am a current sophomore at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. I am studying Human and Organizational Development, a major that teaches students how to identify and solve problems in organizations and communities. In the future, I am looking to get involved in the nonprofit sector of education and may pursue teaching after graduation. I'm now living in New York City pursuing a career in casting and producing theater. Although I have found my passion in the arts, I find great fulfillment tutoring math and science, because I think it's important for students to know they can succeed in these challenging subjects. I seek to develop an individual learning plan for each student, discovering the tools that will best help them succeed. My previous private tutoring clients have gone on to graduate at the top of their class. In addition, I am also an experienced SAT and ACT prep tutor.

I love to help students to do well on the SAT and ACT Verbal, Reading, and English sections. I have tutored these areas of standardized tests for more than 3 years. My approach is not "standardized" because I enjoy working one-on-one with clients to tailor learning experiences that address each person's unique needs. As a former professor of communication, I also have the skills to help professionals and graduate students with their research and writing. I am currently helping a doctoral student with her dissertation.

I'm a recent graduate of the California Institute of Technology in Economics and Computer Science. I was also accepted at Harvard, Princeton, MIT, and Stanford. I have a broad range of interests spanning science, math, engineering, social science, the humanities, the arts, and athletics (I also played on the Caltech basketball team). My background allows me to tutor general college prep, especially the SAT, ACT and the GRE. I love to teach analytical thinking, ranging from advanced Math and Physics to strategies for understanding literature and developing arguments.

I'm currently a math and physics major at MIT and I've had several years of practice teaching math to high school students. I like to emphasize completely understanding a concept patiently in a way the student would enjoy learning, over blind memorization of facts and formulas.

I am a junior at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania studying Economics, Finance, and Business Analytics. For the last few years, I have been helping students with college application and test prep help, such as college essays, common app, and SAT/Subject SATs. I came from a high school where these resources for college and SAT prep were not as readily available, so I want to work towards making college more accessible by helping students with their application. Past students of mine have gotten into NYU, UMich, and Georgetown.

I am looking to get some more experience tutoring and teaching with the idea of pursuing further academic work in the future.
