The son of two educators, I learned at a very young age the value of study and aquired the tools necessary to perform well in most academic environments, as a reader, a writer, and a critical thinker. The skills of learning one subject can often help us learn others and it is my hope, as a tutor, that I can help you develop not just the knowledge you need but the skills to aquire such knowledge more easily. With these, and a few simple test taking tactics, you will gain confidence in your knowledge and your ability test well on these subjects.I have an MBA in public and non-profit management (same core work as an MBA + an extra semester and a half of non-profit coursework, so have been through the battery of courses to prepare and complete a management program. I was also a physics student for much of my undergraduate schooling, so I have a strong aptitude for maths and many of the sciences. Hello everyone! A little bit about myself, I am a recent graduate from Drexel U with a degree in Accounting and Finance. I am available for ACT tutoring as well as Accounting and Finance help!

When I was a child, I found and read the book series The Story of the World by Susan Wise Bauer. I positively loved the series and it inspired my love and interest of history. This has continued with me into adulthood and influenced my decision to pursue a bachelors degree in history. However, prior to college, I was homeschooled through high school which allowed me to be flexible and self-motivated in learning. After high school, I went on to study at a college level, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in History from Thomas Edison State University. I received many of my college credits from taking CLEP and DSST tests allowing me to graduate with a degree by the time I was eighteen. For completing my degree in this way, I received the Arnold Fletcher Award, an award for students with exceptional achievement in nontraditional learning.While studying at Thomas Edison I also had the opportunity and privilege to help coach a speech and debate group for a year, helping students improve on their speaking abilities. I also later worked as a chess instructor helping the students learn about the fundamentals of chess. Currently, I work as a substitute teacher at a private school. For the past several years I have also worked as a bookkeeper and I currently working in the finance office at a school. So, I am equipped to help students with finance and with computer application. With whatever I teach though, I believe that I should not instruct just for the purpose of people of obtaining knowledge so they can pass a test. I want knowledge that I give them to be used as wisdom for how they live life; applied knowledge. So, I hope that I have the opportunity to serve students through tutoring and help equip them for school and for life.

I've tutored students in math, computer science, software applications, finance, accounting, and photography. On the side I do professional photography.I enjoy teaching all age ranges. My goal is to make the topic interesting and find a way to help the student want to learn and understand it. We will work at your pace and make sure you understand the topic.I enjoy math and continue to study many different topics in math. I've helped students test out of pre-calculus so they could go from algebra and straight into calculus. Math can be fun and interesting.

I spent quite a few years navigating a power boat for weeks at a time in the Northwestern portion of the U.S.A. I also enjoy all kinds of music. I play the piano, organ, and guitar. Another passion of mine is reading. I belong to a book club and try to read several books a week. In addition, I really enjoy the field of mathematics and look forward to sharing my love of mathematics with students eager to learn about the field.
