Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today I met with the student at the library to help her with her last assignments before meeting with her professor. We completed a review of the last two posts for her discussion board assignment and also reviewed an action plan for studying over this weekend her exams on Monday. She is doing well in all her assignments, but didn't do as well on the first test so I also helped her prepare on how to approach her professor and voice her concern over her grade and the effort she has put in thus forth."
"Today we covered lessons 8 and 9. The student did well today. She stayed on track and got all of her quiz questions right at the end of her chapters. I am noticing that she has increased her patience with herself and was willing to read through more of the textbook material than usual today. I hope this continues as an upward trend in future sessions. As per usual, I sent her home with my typed notes from the session."
"Today, the student and I looked over an online course for Biology 1 semester 1. We are still working on fully understanding the website and the requirements for the course. She completed the lessons and assessment for week 1 and are looking forward to meeting next week to review the rest of the assignments."
"Today, the student and I studied biology and living science, and I helped her with test taking skills, and we made index cards together of important materials. She was great to work with and understood the material well. She and I are meeting again next week and are going to do a practice test together. She has a good grasp of the material and is doing well preparing for the assessment exam."
"Today, we completed the lecture about proteins and enzymes. I thoroughly explained the Michaelis-Menten equation and the variations in the reaction graph of various enzyme inhibitors. After going over the content in detail, the student felt good about the material. He received a 94% on his first test, and he has a final on Friday. We will resume sessions on Monday for Part 2 of this course."
"Today, we covered basic atomic theory, including the discovery of the 3 fundamental subatomic particles (electrons, neutrons, and protons). For the next session, we will follow a review book and begin a more structured format with practice problems involved."
