Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"When I arrived the student had already finished his Spanish homework, so we went over his chapter that he is currently studying. We worked on adjectives and some verbs. I had him write each word with the corresponding article. I also had him say the words out loud and conjugate the verbs. We worked on the regular verbs as well as an irregular verb. In order to be able to answer the questions for this chapter he really needs to know the vocabulary, I asked him to keep looking over these words during the week so he can internalize them. He was open to my instruction and suggestions, it was a pleasure working with him."
"We covered more uses of the subjunctive like emotion and doubt. The student seems to understand the uses a little better."
"We went over various dental terms, questions the dental assistant would ask a patient about what hurts them, hygiene issues and how to discuss further treatment. Both students had some of their own questions to ask about how to say certain things. We went over the formal way to conjugate verbs and commands. They both took notes and they made a copy of the new words and phrases as well. I told them their homework was to practice 5 new phrases until next week."
"The student and I went over the direct object and the direct object pronouns. He is doing great with the other subjects that we have already discussed, like the verbs SER and ESTAR."
"We studied reflexive verbs and worked on some of the student's writing and listening homework. He did a really good job with listening comprehension today, getting the sentences usually on the first try."
"The student and his younger sister did really well in this session as we mainly went over vocabulary terms to encourage immersion into Spanish. They were both very enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking."
