Create a Personal AI Assistant is a hands-on course where you’ll design and build a customized AI tool to help you with real tasks — whether that’s organizing your calendar, helping with writing, answering FAQs, or automating study or work routines. Using tools like OpenAI’s Custom GPTs, Zapier, and ChatGPT plugins, you’ll learn to plan your assistant’s personality, capabilities, and workflows. By the end, you’ll have your own functional, personalized AI assistant — and the skills to keep improving it over time. No coding experience required — just a clear use case and curiosity.

You Will Learn

Session 1, Introduction: Vision, Tools, & Use Case Planning. Learn how to identify workflows and needs for automation, choose assistant types and styles, and select the right platform (Custom GPT, Replit AI, Zapier, etc.) for your goals.

Session 2, Customizing Your Assistant. Create instructions and prompt templates, define tone and formatting, and provide context for ideal output.

Session 3, Workflow and Task Integration. Automate tasks in your workflow, such as sending emails and summarizing notes, while exploring popular programs and integrations like Zapier and Make.

Session 4, Testing, Feedback, and Iteration. Develop systems for iterating to improve your assistant, and work with classmates to share learnings and best practices.
