Hiya!I'm Sakib, a graduate student at Rice, studying computational & applied mathematics. I have been tutoring ever since high school in a variety of subjects. I have been a Teaching Assistant for Calculus I & II, and Organic Chemistry I & II. I have also taught SAT for Kaplan for years and privately taught SAT, SAT Math/Chemistry as well as AP subject exams.I love tutoring and being able to relay concepts to students. I enjoy enhancing their knowledge and giving them the skills needed to tackle upcoming tests and their courses.

I am a current undergrad at Georgia Tech majoring in Computer Science. I've been tutoring for a few years and love working one-on-one or in small groups. I believe every person has a unique learning style, and as a tutor, I should be flexible and adaptable in the way I teach. I am a freshman at the University of Virginia, working towards earning a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Business. Some of my favorite subjects include algebra, calculus, economics, and programming!

I am a Freshman at the University of Michigan working towards a Bachelor of Science Engineering in Computer Science. I intend to focus my studies in systems engineering, artificial intelligence, and data science. Throughout high school, I have held numerous extracurricular mentorship roles. Within my robotics team, I teach team members to develop high quality c++ code. Within my debate team, I coach younger competitors on their rhetorical speaking and critical thinking skills to increase tournament success. While I have experience tutoring a broad range of topics, I specialize in AP Physics (1, C Mechanics, Electricity/Magnetism), AP Computer Science A, AP Calculus AB/BC, and SAT Math. As a tutor, my goal is to instill within students the skills to achieve success on their own. Rather than providing students with "templates" on how to solve individual problems, I emphasize on teaching fundamental processes that can be applied to a host of different scenarios. I have seen first-hand how this approach improves students' confidence and classroom success. In my free time, I enjoy playing pick-up basketball with my friends and swimming (only in the summer though).

Anyone can learn another language, comparative/applied linguistics and simultaneous translation/interpretation at any age. I use multiple intelligences, multimodality and authentic integrated strategies to make your language learning journey one with ease, proficiency and fluency in four skills and fun!

I am a student at Eastern Gateway Community College studying Information Technology to further my career in the industry. I have been tutoring since high school, staring with math and expanded to many other subjects.I have tutored many students in different age groups from elementary school to those who are adults and just need extra support. I work with these students in many different subjects including Math, English, Writing, Vocabulary, along with IT certifications, and basic computer use for both PC and MAC. I also work with students and adults in the Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Access. Along with the age groups and subjects, I've worked with students with special needs, IEPs and 504 plans for the last 5 years.

I am a graduate of Boston Latin School and MIT. I have loved math and science since I was a child, and I loved my time at MIT, earning a BS in Materials Science, a PhD in Materials Science, and doing post doctoral work there. After leaving that academic world, I was drawn to software engineering and started my own software consulting business, which I have run for many years. I found that tutoring my sons and daughters and other young people in math has been very rewarding and that my enthusiasm for math and science can be infectious. My approach to instruction is to determine quickly what issues prevent the student from understanding the material and to work in a supportive and guided manner to help the student achieve success. Nothing makes me happier than helping a student to gain confidence by mastering a topic they were having trouble with. I love music, mostly jazz and rock, a love I got from my parents. I read science fiction, and do Tai Chi, and am working towards becoming an instructor, which is another form of tutoring as I see it. I am an Eagle Scout, and for many years, I have mentored young men who are working on attaining that rank. I volunteer to help the seniors in my home town with electronic device problems in their homes. I believe that a good education is the foundation for success in life. I like to think I've motivated and encouraged many young minds to achieve success.

I am a current student at Virginia Commonwealth University. I am planning on receiving a Bachelor of Science in Psychology as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. I am extremely passionate about ensuring that my students not only achieve their academic goals, but that they also have a proper understanding of the material being taught.

I received my Bachelor's degree, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in Agriculture Economics and Animal Science with a minor in Entrepreneurship. I'm currently pursuing Law School but I am unsure of where I will be attending at this time.I like to be engaged with the student's learning, I celebrate the little successes and help strive for better.I currently own and operate my own business called G-Rated Scrubs. This experience has taught me so many things and life lessons. I only hope I can pass on some of my knowledge.
