I am passionate about the broad implications and applications of the Science, Math, and Engineering in our daily lives - and enjoy teaching them to my own kids. I am a PhD student at UT Southwestern Medical Center. I have received my Master's in Biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University and my Bachelor's in Biochemistry at Southern Methodist University. I've tutored middle school, high school, and college students in math (Algebra I & II, Geometry, Calculus I-II) and science (Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry). I have the most experience with and enjoy teaching Algebra I & II and Chemistry though. I grew up as a athlete myself (figure skater) and so am aware of the strenuous schedule student athletes have and work to be as flexible as I can with my own schedule so that I can accommodate these students.

I am a Molecular Engineering major at the University of Chicago, I am currently taking time off to focus on other aspects of my career but I don't want to stop tutoring outside college campus!. During medical school I continued developing my passion for teaching. Running tutoring sessions for my peers and underclassmen, organizing a medical education and exposure program for high school students known as HPREP, creating educational materials in the form of video demonstrations, and eventually being hired as an adjunct professor of Gross Anatomy for the Occupational Therapy program at Downstate Medical Center. I am currently in the medical education track at my school and in training to become a full-time faculty member after graduating. My teaching style is focused on meeting the student where they are. I always begin assessing the current knowledge base and level of understanding so I can have a good idea of where to start.
