Varsity Tutors can enroll you in a convenient and comprehensive Atlanta ASE certification training course if you are planning to take any of the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification tests. The ASE certified auto repair technicians and automotive service professionals in a wide range of specializations. An ASE certificate can help advance your career in the automotive industry by increasing your confidence in your job, boosting your credibility as a repair technician with your colleagues and employer, and helping you qualify for better job prospects and job promotions in your company.
There are more than 40 tests you can take under the ASE certification series. The tests are all computer-based and may have between 40 to 75 scored, multiple-choice questions. The different tests cover almost every aspect of auto repair and services you can think of such as cars and light trucks, auto and truck parts, school and transit buses, collision repair, truck equipment, and medium-heavy trucks. You can imagine that there are many topics you need to study during your ASE review. You can become more familiar with the types of questions covered on your specific test when you enroll in our Atlanta ASE certification course.
If you're like many ASE test takers who are also working professionals, then you know how it can be difficult to find an ASE test prep that fits your schedule. Traditional reviews that require you to take an extra commute to go to school or a review center may not be the most ideal option when you're already juggling work and other personal commitments. With our Atlanta ASE certification course, you don't have to worry about fitting another commute in your daily schedule. With just an internet connection, you can log into our Live Learning Platform where you'll meet your instructor via video chat and participate in the review. You can study from home or from your office. Some students set up their study area in a café or at libraries such as the Metropolitan Library or the Southeast Atlanta Library.
Since the lessons in our Atlanta ASE certification training are entirely online, we're able to offer a wide range or course times within a given day. This means you can have more options when choosing when you want to do your test prep. If you want a more intensive review, you can attend our 2-week courses where you'll meet often in a shorter time. But if your schedule doesn't allow you to meet frequently for lessons, then you can attend our 4-week courses where the lessons are spread out and you have a lighter workload. Both courses still give you a variety of lesson times to choose from. Are you only free in the morning? You can enroll in sections that conduct lessons in the morning. Want to study after work? We also have evening lessons to suit your preference. You can also study in the middle of the day with our afternoon lessons. If you prefer to focus on your studies on weekends when you don't have work, then you can enroll in our weekend courses. Our courses have several sections that start every month, so we can easily find a course time that fits your availability.
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence certifications are not just for auto technicians; they are also very useful for the customers and shop owners who contract their services. Shop owners can use the ASE certificate as a way to evaluate the skill level of technicians before letting them take charge of any repairs or maintenance services for clients. Obtaining an ASE certificate won't be easy. Each certification has its own set of requirements. Most will also require at least two years of relevant work experience and you'll have to take recertification tests every five years in order to maintain your credentials. If you don't have work experience, you can still take the computer-based test and pass it; however, you'll have to fulfill the work experience requirement before you can receive your certification.
There are different tests you can take depending on the career path you want to pursue. If you already have experience doing repairs for cars, SUVs, or light-duty trucks, taking the A-series tests, or the Automobile & Light Truck Certification Tests, can be a worthwhile investment. This series covers skills like general engine diagnosis and lubrication and cooling systems diagnosis and repair. There are nine tests in total including A4 – Suspension & Steering; A7 – Heating & Air Conditioning; and A6 – Electrical/Electronic Systems.
If your background is in servicing trucks, you can take on the exams under the T-series, or Medium-Heavy Truck Certification Tests, which is for auto technicians who want to certify their skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engine and parts for Class 4 to Class 8 trucks and tractors. There are eight tests for the T-series including T6 – Electrical/ Electronic Systems; T7 – Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC); and T8 – Preventive Maintenance Inspection. Other popular certifications offered are Collision Repair & Refinish Certification Tests (B2 – B5); Truck Equipment Certification Tests (E1 – E3); and Automobile Service Consultant Certification Test (C1).
No matter which certification test you're planning to take, we can provide you the support you need in your studies with our Atlanta ASE certification class. The class gives you access to an expert teacher who doesn't only have years of industry experience in auto repair and service but also has familiarity with the content and format of the specific ASE test you'll be taking. Instructors handling the class have all passed a strict interviewing and vetting process to make sure they are knowledgeable about the subject they're going to teach and are good communicators. If you have any questions about diagnosing and repairing a steering system, disassembling and inspecting an oil pump or performing cylinder compression tests, you can ask them directly to your instructor and get relevant answers. Having access to an expert teacher can save you a lot of time and make your review more efficient.
Since there will be other ASE candidates participating in our Atlanta ASE certification class, you can have the chance to learn in a supportive, online environment. Studying with your peers can keep you motivated in your test prep, help you gain new insights about the different auto repair topics you're discussing, make it possible for you to pick up new techniques in vehicle repair, and make your class discussions more engaging. But if you ever need to discuss a topic in more detail, or if you have points you want to clarify about the test, you can still reserve one-on-one lessons with your teacher outside of class to better address your concerns. This personalized attention you get from our Atlanta ASE certification training is another advantage that might not be readily available in other traditional test prep classes.
Preparing for such an important test like the ASE can be daunting. It will demand your dedication and self-discipline, but once you get certified, it can also be a very rewarding endeavor that could advance your career.
