About Me

I am a graduate of Florida Atlantic University for elementary education and The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and Western Michigan University for graphic design and fine arts. I received my Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education and an Associates in Graphic Design and Fine Arts. Since graduating from FAU in 2012, I have taught elementary dual language classes in reading, math, writing, social studies and science in the Palm Beach County school system as a Highly Effective educator. Previously, I held professional roles in advertising agencies and publishing companies as an art director and graphic designer for 20+ years. While I tutor a wide range of subjects, I am most passionate about helping students gain confidence and proficiency in their subject of study. In my experience helping students develop independence using different strategies will set them up for success by giving them options to solve original problems, independently. My goal with students is to give them the stamina and confidence to seek out and apply strategic solutions to learning hurdles. I have extensive experience in preparing 3rd-5th graders to take the FSA test for reading, writing, math and science. In my spare time, I keep my Adobe Creative Suite skills up to date by creating graphic and fine art designs for personal enjoyment. I look forward to helping you or your student achieve the goals you set for yourself.
