About Me

I am a graduate of Liberty University, where I received a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Biology. While there, I also obtained a Virginia teaching license in General Biology for grades 6-12. After graduating and getting married, I moved to South Florida, where I now attend Florida Atlantic University in pursuit of a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Science. I have been tutoring various subjects since high school, but find Math and Science to be my strongest areas. While at Liberty University, I worked as a Biology tutor both for the Bruckner Learning Center and for the Biology Department itself. For my education certification, I completed several Biology practicums including a semester of student teaching 6th grade life science at Linkehorne Middle School. Now as a graduate student, I work as a Teaching Assistant by teaching Comparative Vertebrate Morphogenesis, Human Morphology, and Anatomy and Physiology labs at the FAU Davie campus. I am very passionate about all things Science and Biology remains my favorite subject to tutor. While tutoring, I bring my extensive content knowledge, patience, and creativity for developing personalized tutoring and studying techniques. When I am not in class or tutoring, I enjoy tennis, biking, reading and being an officer for South Florida’s Herpetology Society (a society for amphibian and reptile lovers).
