Based on my experience as a student and as an instructor, teaching is an ever-evolving process where one is always looking for ways to improve yet also finding new challenges as research, teaching technology and classroom dynamics, and one’s own perceptions of what is an effective class, change and develop. I also find that I learn a lot from my students, and this sharing of opinions and experiences enriches the class content and keeps me from repeating the same patterns and routines. My goal in teaching is to not only stay in tune with new research, but also maintain and appreciation and an open eye for the process of teaching as a unique and dynamic event.

I'm a Junior at Texas A&M University. I was originally a biomedical engineering student, but have since transferred into biology with a minor in sociology. My career interest is in medicine. I have had previous experience with tutoring in high school when I was a member of the National Honor Society and mentored peers to help them excel in their math and science courses. I have also worked for Varsity Tutors for almost 6 months and have helped many students achieve better grades. I love sports, I'm sociable, I'm goal oriented, and can be competitive!

I am a chiropractor who enjoys tutoring and working with young students. I am a graduate of Edgewood College and Palmer College of Chiropractic. I love to play soccer, run and watch almost any sport. When not working I can often be found watching sports or playing soccer. While working with students my goal is to help them reach the goals they have set for themselves. I help them achieve these goals by tailoring my teaching/tutoring styles to best fit their learning style. Everyone learns and retains information differently and I strive to find out how each of my students learns the best and implement that into my sessions. At the end of the day my goal is to make learning fun and for my students to learn and feel good about themselves. I spent my junior year studying abroad in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, which was one of the greatest cultural and linguistic experiences of my life! I have been teaching Spanish since 2014, and I am currently working on my Masters in World Language Education at UGA.I have a great deal of passion for the nuances of the Spanish language, and I love to share it with my students. Masculine/feminine agreement, verb conjugations, the subjunctive tense - these can be tricky concepts to grasp, but my philosophy is that, at the end of the day, it is all about communication.When I'm not teaching, I love cooking, hiking, kayaking, reading, singing, playing my ukulele, and, of course, continuing to gather more knowledge about the Spanish language and cultures.
