I am currently a student at the University of Aberdeen obtaining my master's in petroleum engineering. I graduated in May, 2020 magna cum laude from Northeastern University with my degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in economics. All of methods and study habits I teach my students are ones I have personally used and found to work, either in test prep or in math, science, and engineering courses. In addition to tutoring, I am always more than happy to give no nonsense advice to any student interested in going to engineering school. I am a UCLA Bioengineer. I am a well qualified tutor and have had many years of experience in both paid and unpaid roles from 6th grade to 12 grade to present. I have always excelled in academics, math, writing, and english and have scored well on all standardized tests and state tests. I have scored 800/800 in SAT 1 math, SAT 2 math. I have scored 760/800 in SAT writing. I received scores of 5/5 in AP Calculus AB and BC and have taken numerous other APs, passing the APs in Physics, Biology, Literature, Language and Composition, Environmental Science, Economics, US history, and Chemistry. I was the President of my high school's only tutoring club and only math club, Infinity Math Club, where I dedicated my time tutoring struggling students in all math levels. I was a tutor in my high school's RAMS program for all academic subjects. I love working with students and love to see them succeed in subjects that they once struggled in.

I'm a doctoral candidate at Princeton University in the German department, where I've taught German language, literature and philosophy since 2008 and regularly received the highest scores for student satisfaction on my teaching evaluations. I majored in Biology and German as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan. I believe it is a teacher or tutor's responsibility to determine a student's individual learning style and tailor her lessons accordingly. I do a brief interview with each client to ascertain whether he or she is a visual, auditory or combination learner and teach with these results in mind. I earned my B.A. in Comparative Literature from Columbia University and an M.A. in German from UC Berkeley, where I taught college German and received training in foreign language pedagogy. For me, tutoring is about more than making the grade or getting the right score; I always strive to foster insights and new skills that will help my students take charge of their own education.

I'm a PhD at Harvard studying German philosophy and classics (Greek and Latin). Next year, I will be starting law school to pursue my professional passion, tax law. I am deeply committed to the language and LSAT skills I've developed and I love to tutor students of all levels in these subjects. I can't imagine a life without teaching. My favorite part of teaching is helping students come to love -- or at least appreciate -- the details that make up complex subject matters. My favorite moment with any student is when the student realizes how fascinating a subject matter is after really mastering all of the "dry" details. When my students start internalizing the LSAT or languages I am teaching them, I know I am doing my job.

I had a strong support network of teachers and mentors throughout middle and high school, so I understand firsthand the importance of thoughtful, individualized educational enrichment.
