I'm a recent graduate of the California Institute of Technology in Economics and Computer Science. I was also accepted at Harvard, Princeton, MIT, and Stanford. I have a broad range of interests spanning science, math, engineering, social science, the humanities, the arts, and athletics (I also played on the Caltech basketball team). My background allows me to tutor general college prep, especially the SAT, ACT and the GRE. I love to teach analytical thinking, ranging from advanced Math and Physics to strategies for understanding literature and developing arguments.

I am a Senior at the University of Florida studying Industrial Engineering and Statistics. My areas of expertise include Statistics, High School and College level Math, and Government. I emphasize maintaining trust and steady communication with my students to maintain a healthy and comfortable learning environment. I am currently a graduate student at Institute of Optics at the University of Rochester conducting research in Biophysical Chemistry. I recently graduated in June 2017 from the University of California - Irvine with two Bachelor degrees. One was in Biomedical Engineering and the other was in Materials Science and Engineering. With two engineering degrees, I feel comfortable working with students in all realms of Math and Science.

I'm referring to math, of course, but I didn't always like the subject. Until about age 16, I thought of math as a boring, mind-numbing process of blindly memorizing formulas and then forgetting them after the test, but a series of wonderful teachers showed me the truth. I had thought that everything in math was invented arbitrarily just to torture students, but actually it all made sense in a deep way. When I caught a glimpse of what math really was, I found it irresistible and I ended up majoring in math in college at UChicago. I'm currently a Master's student in Computer Science at NYU.

I am a recent American University graduate with a BS in Biology and I will be attending the University of Pennsylvania next year to begin my PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology. After completion of my doctorate degree, I aspire to be a university-level professor with both research and teaching responsibilities, and so I welcome any and all opportunities to teach and empower students of any age. I worked for American University's Academic Support and Access Center (ASAC) for 3 years as a private peer-tutor for students and student-athletes and have experience tutoring Math (Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, Algebra 1, and Statistics) and Science (General Biology I/II, Cell Biology, and Evolution). I also have a firm grasp on and have informally tutored in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, Organic Chemistry I/II, and Physics I/II.
