Every person has their own unique learning style. As a tutor and instructor for ten years, I strive to find the teaching approach that best fits each student. Although I currently teach college level courses, I enjoy teaching all ages from elementary school to the college level because helping people is the best feeling you can have! With twenty years experience in accounting and business combined with teaching and tutoring elementary age through college, I have a unique range of experience that allows me to present material in a manner that makes the subject more relatable. I was recognized with the Award for Teaching Excellence from Tulsa Community College in 2010, graduated first in the accounting program from Oklahoma State University, and graduated first in my class from high school.

I am a graduate of Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. I received my Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. I received my Executive Master's of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. I am most passionate about Introduction to/Principles of Accounting I and II. In my experience, I have helped many students understand general accounting concepts and practices and to dispel fears about learning accounting. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. I also believe each student has a responsibility to themselves to learn the material presented. My responsibility is to present the info in such a manner that each person's "Learning Style" can be capitalized upon. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and crafts.

I am working on my bachelor degree in Northern Kentucky University with accounting major. Currently I am an academic tutor in my school. I love the interactions with my students and being able to share my knowledge with others. I tutor Algebra, SAT Math, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry , Differential Equation, and Mandarin Chinese. My favorite subject to tutor is math because I enjoy math and I am sensitive with numbers. As a tutor, I will create a relaxing and friendly environment for my students, stimulate conversation about concepts being presented and organize material in a way that makes it easiest to understand. The reason I became a tutor is that I have a passion for teaching through the learning process. In addition, I am very patient and responsible. In my spare time, I like hanging out with friends, listening to music, going to a movie, swimming and reading.

Hello! My name is Sean. I am an accounting major at Binghamton University and have been a student, teaching assistant, and tutor for Financial Accounting over the course of three years. I also practice Spanish as a hobby and regularly talk to native speakers online, so I can teach most levels of academic Spanish! In my previous corporate job I learned how to train staff accountants both here in the States and in India. Since I have been home with my (almost 3) little girl for a couple years I want to take that experience to help others who may be struggling with accounting concepts (debits/credits can be confusing in the beginning!).I enjoy being outside on a cool, sunny day and helping others where I can through volunteer work or helping families maintain good health. When not working, I spend each moment I can bonding with my family.

I first had the idea of becoming a CPA Accountant with an International Law Degree when I was 12 at my extended family's Thanksgiving dinner. A good family friend of my Grandma owns his own business, and he asked me what I wanted to become when I finish school. I answered right away. Life took me though in a different direction but my goal of my dream job is still my goal. I believe that persistence, motivation, and encouragement has still kept me on the right path. I hope with tutoring other individuals I can help the achieve their goals and stay on their target path.
