I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy at The University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. I then went on to get a Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin. I also worked with mentally ill inmates at the Mabel Basset Correctional Center for Women. I had to take early retirement due to health problems but what looked like a tragedy at the time, has allowed me to follow my childhood dream of being an author. I have sent my first crime novel, A Massage to Die For, to an editor. Before I turned to fiction, I published in several professional, psychological journals including the Journal of the Oklahoma Criminal Justice Research Consortium and the Southwestern Psychological Association. I want to be able to share the knowledge I have gained during this journey with my students.
