I am a first-year medical student at the University of North Dakota. I previously graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. Prior to my matriculation, I worked in the Emergency Department for two years as a medical scribe. In this role, I was able to learn about medicine and the healthcare system through the providers I worked with on a daily basis. These mentor relationships increased my passion for education and my willingness to serve as an educator to others. Using the skills I have developed as a camp counselor, chemistry tutor, and pre-med mentor, I look forward to teaching a wide variety of individuals on the Varsity Tutors platform. My subjects of interest include the basic sciences and preparation for Standardized Tests. I would describe my teaching style as informal and conceptual in order to obtain foundational proficiency and skills. When I am not in school or tutoring, I can be found spending time with my wife, cat, and dog.
