About Me
I have had a passion for learning and teaching for as long as I can remember, and I believe that every child deserves the chance to succeed academically. I began tutoring elementary and middle school students while in high school. We worked on math, science, social studies, and English. During college, I spent a month as a teacher's assistant in a middle school English Language Learners' classroom in Portland, Maine. The summer after my freshman year at Williams, I spent three weeks in rural Tanzania teaching English to seventh grade students. This past summer, I spent eleven weeks at the same Tanzanian school teaching English to students in kindergarten through ninth grade. Everyone has a different learning style, so I am open to suggestions and flexible in my teaching style in order to ensure that each student is successful and reaches his or her academic goals. Tutoring can be a wonderful confidence booster for students, and I am eager to share my enthusiasm with my students. I look forward to working with and learning from students in the Atlanta area.
