Hello! I am Matthew Galvan and I recently graduated DePaul University with a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Math and Computer Science and was a member of DePaul's Honors Program. In the fall, I will be a PhD student at UIC and teach there as part of my course of study. As a graduate student, I was a Teaching Assistant for an Intermediate College Algebra class, conducting one hour review sessions on material taught the prior week. I also have two years of tutoring experience during high school through the National Honor Society. During that time, I tutored students of all abilities in algebra and geometry. After graduating from college I worked as an associate teacher at a private high school for kids with emotional and behavioral disorders. One of the things I loved was that I was able to teach a wide variety of subjects from Math to Psychology to History. My favorite subjects are Math, History, and Social Sciences.I grew up in Chicago and recently moved to Phoenix in order to escape the winters and enjoy the sunshine. I am a sophomore student at DePaul University in Chicago. I am currently majoring in neuroscience which is the science of the brain!
