I am a Junior Accounting student at SMU motivated to help younger students reach their academic and testing potential, especially when taking the PSAT, SAT and ACT. I want to help students achieve their goals through engaging tutoring sessions tailored to the needs of each individual, and I want to give students the tools they need to succeed on their own outside of a classroom setting.

I am passionate about helping students because I enjoy the learning process. I feel quite good after helping a student expand their understanding. I like to see when they transition from not knowing what to do, to confidently solving the problem correctly on their own.

I'm currently working towards my undergraduate degree in Mathematics while pursuing the pre-medicine track. After school, I plan to become a practicing physician in a non-surgical specialty--likely anesthesiology or radiology. I've previously worked with students from elementary to high school age on subjects in math, writing, and science. I also have teaching experience in speech-related coursework, music theory, and percussion and drum set performance.

I'm Alyssa! I graduated from Texas Christian University in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology (with Honors and a 4.0 GPA!).
