I am a graduate of Wesleyan University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with High Honors. With eight years of experience working in education, I've tutored students in math, science, history, and English, as well as helped students prepare for standardized tests. I've guided adults towards passing the US Citizenship Exam and taught English in India, where I lived for six months. Whenever I work with a student I personalize the lessons to fit their particular learning style, since I know every student is unique and having the right fit can make all the difference in making learning fun and effective. My strengths are tutoring the social sciences and humanities, as well as making math and standardized tests approachable to students that normally don't like those subjects. In my spare time I like traveling, spending time in the outdoors (climbing & backpacking), meditation, and playing soccer. Next fall I will be beginning my PhD in Education at Harvard University.

I believe education should be personalized and while schools can't provide this due to lack of resources, tutors are a great substitute for that. I am a cultural anthropologist by trade, but have more than five years of experience teaching a wide arrange of topics in the social sciences and language studies. I have taught and tutored students in countries like Colombia, Mexico, Germany, Canada and the United States, but I have been able to travel and engage with learners with an even wider arrange of culturally diverse backgrounds. I am a book author and cultural anthropologist with college classroom teaching experience in the social sciences. I have helped academics and college and graduate students with essays, theses and papers with a focus on bringing out their strongest ideas and making their writing accessible and clear to the reader. I have experience working with people whose first language is not English and recently helped turn papers that had been rejected for publication into articles published in the best journals in their field.

I'm a computer and social scientist. I hold graduate degrees from Columbia University and the University of Chicago and earned my bachelor's at the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to teaching at the undergraduate level, I research ways the natural sciences can be used to advance the study of anthropology and history. I am currently completing my PhD.

I am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Neuroscience, a minor in Sociology, and a certificate in French language. I gained a great deal of tutoring experience during my time with the Penn Tutoring Center, where I tutored Cognitive Science and French. After graduation, I served as a Community Relations Coordinator at Success Academy for two years, during which I was able to practice my elementary school tutoring skills.
