Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree in speech-language pathology at Teachers College, Columbia University. In the past, I have worked as a teacher's aide in a public school classroom, a mentor to middle school girls, an instructor and tutor at the literacy education organization 826, and a summer camp counselor. I tutor a diverse range of subjects, and I find that I especially enjoy tutoring language arts, reading, and writing at all levels, from elementary school all the way up to college/grad school test prep. What I care most about is helping students get to a place where they don't need me anymore. I know that sounds like a strange thing for a tutor to say, but I think it's the right goal. I have been tutoring since 2018. I was a math instructor for five years at a math learning center. There I worked with students in grades 1 through college. I particularly love teaching elementary and middle school math as well as Algebra! I am comfortable working with students of all ages and all abilities. In addition to tutoring math, I was a Spanish AT for introductory Spanish courses and also conversational ones. I also volunteered at the local public elementary school weekly to teach Spanish to second graders. The summer between my junior and senior year, I was fortunate enough to intern in Spain and teach English at a bilingual school. I believe every student learns differently, and I am always happy to adapt my teaching methods to best meet each student's individual needs. These methods range include diagrams, drawings, and the socratic method.

I'm a Chemical Engineering major at the University of Texas at Austin with a strong passion for teaching. I enjoy helping students in biology, algebra, and chemistry, focusing on building meaningful relationships that make learning engaging and approachable. In August, I will be starting a doctoral program in biostatistics at NYU. I was a teaching assistant at Columbia University in my department and also have tutored graduate students and undergraduates privately as well. My primary areas of tutoring are math and statistics coursework in addition to math sections on standardized tests such as the GRE and GMAT. I attended the Bergen County Academies in New Jersey, a selective, application-based magnet school, for high school.

I am a passionate educator with a strong background in computer science, mathematics, and STEM subjects. Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science with focuses on artificial intelligence and education at Purdue University, I have been tutoring since high school, where I began teaching coding to middle and high school students. Over the years, I've had the privilege of helping students excel in a variety of subjects, including AP courses(APCSA - 5, AP Calc AB - 5, AP World - 4), SAT preparation(1590), and programming. My favorite subjects to tutor are mathematics and coding because they not only build critical thinking skills but also empower students to solve real-world problems creatively.
