I graduated from University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 2025 and have my MD degree. I am currently a PGY-1 psychiatry and internal medicine resident at Emory University. While I tutor a wide range of subjects, I am most passionate about helping students develop stronger science and math foundations and grow confidence with standardized tests such as the ACT. I believe that anyone is capable of learning these subjects, and I enjoy finding new creative tutoring strategies that cater to each student's individual needs.

I am a graduate student at University of Windsor. I received my Bachelor of Engineering (BENG) in Mechanical Engineering. I have experience in tutoring Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for over a decade. I use very simple methodologies and real life illustration in teaching physical principles. With my lessons, topics like calculus, functions, trigonometry, algebra, and other maths topics will no longer be a challenge. I am a chemistry PhD holder. I have been working as a teaching assistant for general and analytical chemistry courses for five years at the Chemistry department, University of Alberta, Canada. I have also been working as a private tutor for university and high school students.

The very first student whom I tutored received a perfect score on the ACT. That is why I have continued tutoring for the past seven years. Throughout the course of my tutoring, I have had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of students from kindergarten to graduate school.

I am a recent graduate from Grand Valley State University, with a Bachelor's of Science in Microbiology and a minor in Spanish. I will be attending medical school at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD. School of Medicine starting this summer. I have been a tutor for the past six years, and have worked with students from a diverse array of backgrounds. I started out as a volunteer K-5 English and Math tutor at a center for underprivileged youth in rural Ohio. After graduating high school and starting college, I began working as a college biology and Spanish tutor at the university success center. I was designated the top tutor of 2021, having conducted 250 sessions in one semester. Upon noticing a lack of affordable MCAT prep options, I began offering MCAT prep classes online during the height of the COVID19 pandemic. I have worked with veterans, adult learners, and people with disabilities. I am passionate about providing all students, regardless of age or situation, with personalized tutor sessions that help them achieve their full potential. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at my church, running, and discovering new cuisines.

I am a Chemical Engineer with a Bachelor's from Missouri S and T and a Master's from the University of Tennessee. I have a lot of real world experience using math and science in industry, which helps me give practical tutoring on a variety of STEM subjects. I am currently teaching one of my favorite subjects, chemistry, at Tulsa Community College. I have also been an Ambassador for the Oklahoma Rocks and Minerals Program which brings science professionals to elementary classrooms to teach them STEM concepts. I have always been great at standardized tests and would love to help you prepare for your next exam or develop a better understanding any STEM subject.

Current 4th year Medical Student Previously a Writing Center tutor for three years at University of Connecticut Bachelor's of Science in Molecular Cell Biology and Sociology I can provide both structured tutoring, where I assign work in between sessions, and more free-form tutoring. I can tutor topics regarding medicine (including MCAT) or medical terminology as well topics in chemistry (high school/intro college chemistry and organic chemistry), biology (high school/college), and statistics (AP statistics specificaly). I joined Varsity Tutors to give students an easy resource to access when they are struggling. I also can help students with writing assignments for ANY class as well as for college/medical school applications.

My tutoring approach is one of coaching, mentoring, and helping the student understand exactly what level and detail of help that they need to get ahead. Combining the personal discipline learned during 20 years as a Naval Officer with the unique expertise learned in one-on-one communication with peers and sailors as well as my five children, I can help you or your child succeed. A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and a Math Minor help qualify me for tutoring in many subjects. My individualized tutoring methods also raised my step-son's Physics grade from a C to an A in one semester.
