I am a Japanese, Spanish, English, and ESL tutor. I have lived and worked locally and abroad, serving both in classroom and translator roles.

I am currently a sophomore at Columbia University in the City of New York. I am pursuing a degree in Earth and Environmental Engineering with a concentration in Sustainability and Energy, and I am minoring in East Asian Studies (specifically, Japanese). After graduation, I plan on working in the renewable energy sector in either the United States or Japan. Hobbies: sports, reading, music, writing, singing, art, books

I am open to tutoring in a broad range of subjects, including Algebra, Spanish I/II, ESL and Biology (SAT II, AP, and MCAT).

I am great at building rapport with students and figuring out what they need, especially with small groups of students or 1-on-1. I have a lot of educational theory knowledge thanks to my master's degree from NYU in TESOL and Foreign Language Education, and I've put that into practice during my teaching: elementary ESL and high school Japanese and English/ESL. I've also taught English in elementary schools in Japan, and worked online and in person with kids and adults in ESL and Japanese. I have experience tutoring for standardized tests as well. I believe that we can work together to construct knowledge instead of just lecturing at you while you memorize facts. I want to help you learn, grow and realize your own potential!

I'm a candidate for a B.S. in Business Administration at Northeastern University. In addition to tutoring, I enjoy playing the tuba and learning about transportation engineering/planning. I'm also fully Japanese and can read, write, and speak the language. As someone who scored 1530 on the SAT and 800 on the Math II subject test, I'd love to assist you in preparing for college!

I am the president of 2 very different student organization on campus. One of those, Japanese Student Association (which is not limited to those who are Japanese), not only conducts meetings to spread the Japanese Culture but also conducts Japanese lessons for our members. Because our school does not provide Japanese as a choice of foreign language, to some this is their only way of learning Japanese.

I am studying Chemical Biology in UC Berkeley. One of my passions is Organic Chemistry, which I used to loath but now enjoys after taking a year of it. Also, because I like helping others, I enjoys tutoring/teaching students who are struggling. During high school, I have tutored other high students after school on various subjects such as Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Latin. During college, I have held informal review sessions for General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry for my underclassmen. I tutored my roommate and one of my underclassmen in Organic Chemistry. Finally, with a Graduate Student TA, I co-taught a Organic Chemistry Lab class section , where I answer questions regarding lab material and demonstrate lab techniques. Currently, I am interested in tutoring Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, and Calculus
