I am currently a medical resident at Brockton Hospital and will be continuing my training in Dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital next summer. I received my medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed my undergraduate training at Northwestern University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. While I love teaching all subjects, science is easily my favorite because it explains how everything works and is so applicable to the world around us. Not everyone loves science, but I have found that once a student gains the skills and confidence they need, science becomes a fascinating subject that stimulates their curiosity and excitement. Most of the students I tutor come to me for help with science or math; however, I have also helped students with standardized test prep and general study and time management skills. As a medical student, I've had plenty of personal experience with managing a rigorous course load, test anxiety, and time management. My experiences as a student help me relate to my students. Having been through the stressful college and medical school application process myself, I can give my students the advice and encouragement they need to be successful. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, scuba diving, baking, and playing tennis.

With more than seven years of tutoring/teaching experience, perhaps I am the tutor for you! I have a M.S. in Biology with research experience in animal behavior and ecology. My favorite of the maths is algebra, I enjoy editing papers and assisting with writing, and I have experience with ACT test prep. My teaching philosophy is that practice makes perfect! I also try to make the subject as interesting as possible to engage the student in the material. In my spare time I enjoy hiking in the woods with my border collie and playing board games or video games.

As the oldest of three children, I started my undergraduate college career at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. At NSU, I studied broadcast journalism. The opportunity to host my own television Sports Show was dream come true. I went on to have a radio journalism career and enjoyed it. As a son of an entrepreneur, I wanted to run my own company one day. In the fall of 2009, I enrolled into Western International University as a MBA/MGT student. I learned the importance of leadership and communication in the workplace.I started working with children as a basketball coach eight years ago. After moving to the classroom this year, I am using this opportunity to encourage students using the scaffolding method. Some of my favorite subjects are English grammar, Reading Comprehension, English Literature, and Public Speaking. Public Speaking gives the students to express themselves. This environment teaches the students how effectively communicate a point to their peers in a professional manner. The students will learn how to turn the other cheek.I love playing basketball and coaching sports. I love to read about sports. My favorite books are autobiographies and anything related to lions. I love traveling to different cities' zoos to see their animals. In my teaching, I like to use animal parables to teach concepts.

Having received support from fellow tutors during my own journey, I find it deeply satisfying to help other pre-med students on the journey to their medical school acceptance. As part of my degree programs, I have taught several different science classes at the university level and worked as a tutor part-time. I also have experience in graduate program recruitment and interview coaching, so I am here to help you through your medical school journey at every step of the way.
