My name is Lauren Fried and I am a medical student at NYU School of Medicine. I tutored biology / biological sciences, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and general chemistry during my 4 years at Lehigh University and I absolutely love to teach. I strongly believe that learning should be a fun, interactive experience - it sticks better and helps you love what you are learning! I am enthusiastic and excited about what I teach and look forward to sharing that with my students to help them succeed.

I am passionate about helping students build foundations in math and science using real-world applications. I have 3 years of tutoring experience working with students from middle school to college level. I am excited to help you succeed in your class and develop problem solving skills!
I am a retired Electrical Engineer. I received my BS degree at Lehigh University. I love math and science. I enjoy tutoring and have been tutoring students in Algebra, Pre-calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry and Physics. My approach is to listen to the student to find out where he or she is having difficulty and review homework and tests to address issues. I then look at what is ahead and help the student to understand what is coming up. My students tell me that I am patient and can explain difficult subjects effectively. I have been tutoring with Varsity Tutors since 2014.
I am a undergraduate math major and am passionate about helping students of all math levels succeed in their studies. I am quick in discovering students' learning strengths that will help them better understand their math material.

Hi, I recently graduated medical school with an M.D. degree and am now working as a doctor. I have also received a B.S. in biology and graduated with highest honors from Lehigh University in 2018. I have extensive experience serving as both a tutor and teaching assistant for various subjects. I work 1-on-1 with my students to develop a teaching method that is catered specifically to their unique learning style. My main expertise is in life science courses such as biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. I also provide standardized exam preparation, along with assistance in applying to or getting through medical school.

Science education or education of any kind is, in my understanding, sharing a passion with a people that you have formed a deep personal relationship with. In this respect, I make every effort to win the students over to my side by doing the small things that on the surface are in no way related to science. These small things would include: knowing their names and the pet names they use amongst themselves, knowing the meanings of their names and the etymologies of the names, memorizing their birthdays, noticing a bandage on a finger and taking deep concern in how they got injured, cleaning with them when they have cleaning duty, etc. I am cognizant of the impact of the personal touch on learning. The war to win the hearts is coupled with an aspiration to have a good command of my subject and effective lesson delivery. I take great effort to prepare for a 50min lesson especially for my middle school science classes. Preparing for small, exciting and meaningful lesson activities takes the bulk of my day. I aim to have all my worksheets contain clear instructions on the direction the lesson should take. Science education is experiential learning and I spare no effort to have all facts in science be derived out of an analysis of empirical evidence. "People generally remember 90% of what they do as they perform a task" according to American Educationist Edgar Dale in his treatise, Cone of Experience. To teach science is to provide direct purposeful experiences or taking students through the real experiences underlying a scientific phenomenon.
I am a Structural Engineer with degrees in Civil Engineering and Architecture, and I have passed the SE exam. I volunteered as an assistant teacher in college, have taught seminars to colleagues, and have tutored and mentored informally over the years.
I have dual citizenship both French and US. I am a graduate of Lehigh University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics with a focus in Information Systems and Marketing. Since graduation, I have traveled a lot in Europe, especially Western Europe. I am most passionate about tutoring French as it is my mother tongue. In my experience helping struggling students with French, it is easier and much more fun to learn when your teacher was born and raised in that country. I am a firm believer that knowing French is very helpful in today's world where a lot of countries do speak this language. I love French, and everything related to the French culture. In my free time, I enjoy running, playing soccer with my friends and trying out new French restaurants.
I am a graduate of Lehigh University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. I have been tutoring math for over five years. I started tutoring in college helping fellow students in math. The math subjects I tutor include but are not limited to Algebra, Pre-calculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations. I have worked with many students from different social and educational backgrounds, and I adapt my teaching methods to each individual student to ensure that they understand the material while enjoying the subject matter. I am a firm believer in the benefits of math and find it extremely rewarding helping students learn the many concepts and principles. When not tutoring, I enjoy baking and spending time with my family.
I am tutoring tax (REG, TCP, EA and college-level). My approach is that I will offer an explanation of the topic, then get into working through questions. I have tutored tax for hundreds of hours at this point and most students seem to like my easy-going and enthusiastic approach.
