As an enthusiastic educator with a Master's degree in Business Administration. I have worked in tax, private accounting, and public accounting as an auditor for a combined 10 years. I am committed to empowering students in Audit, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and general College level Accounting. As a current professional still employed I do not take many students and have blackout dates from January to May for busy season. Both college and CPA study are my two main students I take. With over 2 years of tutoring experience, I utilize a hands-on approach that connects theoretical concepts to real-world applications, creating a dynamic and interactive learning environment. My teaching philosophy centers around fostering curiosity and encouraging students to engage deeply with the material, ultimately building their confidence and competence in accounting. I find immense joy in witnessing students achieve their academic goals. This passion for learning keeps me motivated to inspire the next generation of accounting profession.

I have wanted to help make a difference in a child's education my entire life. I am currently studying to become an Elementary School Teacher and cannot wait to help you with what you might struggle with. We all have our struggles but with a little help and practice, they can become a strength.I graduated from Georgian Court University in May of 2022 with my Bachelor of Arts in English with a writing minor. I am currently in my final semester of Graduate school at Georgian Court University as an Elementary Education Major and will gain my certification in Special Education in December upon graduation.I have previously worked as a tutor for my University where I helped fellow undergraduates with their English course work and other courses that I felt confident in such as History. I have also spent the past year as a substitute within an Elementary school and even completed a Paternity position for the Music Teacher!I tutor in a variety of subjects. Within the Elementary School level, I tutor in Math, Reading, English, Science, Writing, Social Studies, Kindergarten Readiness, Reading Fundamentals, and Reading Comprehension. At the Middle School level, I tutor in English, Reading, Reading Comprehension, and Writing. At the High School level, I tutor in English, Writing, Reading, and College Application Essays. I also tutor in British Literature, American Literature, Comparative Literature, Creative Writing, English Grammar and Syntax, Intro to Fiction, Intro to Poetry, Poetry, Productivity, Short Stories: Fairytales, World Literature, and Writing. I also specialize in Microsoft Office products such as Word and PowerPoint as well as Google products such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides. My favorite subjects to tutor are anything that relates to literature as there is not one correct answer within literature; as long as you can provide evidence to support your claim, you can prove nearly anything within an English paper. The possibilities are endless.I personally believe that as a tutor (and as a teacher) I am working to make sure that you have all of the tools available to pass any subject needed. I will make sure that you are prepared and ready for the future ahead. There are things in this world that I have not mastered and I am always willing to learn from you as you learn from me. We never stop learning and the sole thing that I am here to do is to make sure that I help you in any sort of way possible to ensure your success.

One of my most profound joys comes from guiding learners in the process of accelerating growth, closing academic gaps, and believing in themselves. Ensuring their future success is more than a passion for me: It is my mission.I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education from West Chester University and a Master of Arts in Administration, Supervision, Curriculum Planning, and Instruction from Georgian Court University. Throughout my teaching career, I have also engaged in numerous training and research opportunities. Most recently, I took a course entitled "Penn Literacy Network 1" as well as several additional educational workshops from the University of Pennsylvania. My philosophy of teaching is that educators must ensure each learner is reaching his/her full potential by attending to "the whole child". In addition to providing excellent academic instruction, teachers must also address the social and emotional needs of students and create exciting learning environments where they are eager to learn and participate. Instructionally, I believe in the use practices that are research-based and rooted in Universal Design. This includes multi-sensory, hands-on, mnemonic, and metacognitive approaches that address the needs of individuals of various learning styles and ability levels. It is also my strong belief that educators must provide well-planned, explicit instruction as well as highly engaging co-constructive learning opportunities that build critical thinking skills, encourage lifelong learning, and pave the way for future success. I work tirelessly to ensure that I uphold all of these values while maintaining a high spirited, engaging, supportive, and motivating learning environment. In reporting on my teaching performance, principals have used descriptors such as: "Mrs. Berodyn takes her students on a journey of excitement and exploration.", "The success rate of her students in high.", and "She is a model for teachers to emulate."My prior experience includes 28 wonderful years as a resource room teacher in New Jersey. I taught in K-5 whole group, inclusionary classrooms as well as in small group, individualized settings for learning disabled students. My passion and dedication was recognized there with a "Teacher of the Year Award" and a listing in Who's Who Among America's Teachers. After moving to Pennsylvania, I also had the great pleasure of teaching for 5 years as a Basic Skills Instructional Aide, providing targeted tutoring to individuals and small groups of kindergarten through 6th grade students. In both career experiences, the goal of my instruction was to inspire a love of learning, increase student skills, and close achievement gaps in reading, writing, spelling and math.Currently, I tutor in reading, writing, spelling, and math for students in kindergarten through 4th grade as well as adult literacy. Although I truly enjoy teaching all of these subject areas, I am most passionate about reading. Because it is most critical to the future success of my students, I have engaged in extensive literacy research and received training in a number of multi-sensory and specialized reading program (such as Wilson, Lindamood-Bell, Preventing Academic Failure, SRA Reading Mastery, Stevenson, Reading Recovery, and Corrective Reading). I take great pride and joy in knowing that I have helped hundreds of students overcome significant reading difficulties. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, hiking, cooking, listening to music, playing guitar, and taking pictures!

I am a graduate of both Georgian Court University and Kean University. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, a teaching certification for K-12, and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. I have been teaching World History, World Geography, and U.S. History for about nine years at a middle school in central New Jersey.Another endeavor undertaken by me is the founding and supervising of a district-wide peer mentoring program in which 8th grade students travel to connecting elementary schools to aide them with reading, writing, social, organizational, and study skills. I enjoy tutoring World History, US History, philosophy, psychology and language arts overall.I like to tutor in a team style. What I mean by that is I don't talk down to students. I do not simply lecture. I like to come up with solutions alongside the students I tutor so that it is a shared experience. Some of my passions include: listening to rock music, playing guitar, hockey and reading.

I have a very strong interest in pursuing a teaching and tutor career. I graduated in May 2017 from Georgian Court University with BA Mathematics.I have education experience on the high school level. In college, I had to take two courses called Intro Inclusive Education 60 hours and Co Plan/Teach Inclusive 90 hours. My 60 hours placement was Point Pleasant HS, where I learn methods of teaching and how diverse a classroom is. My 90 hours placement was Brick Memorial HS, where I taught 8 lessons and helped students with the material.I am a part time substitute teacher in the Brick Schools District. I substitute at the Vets Middle School and Lake Rivera. I usually am a substitute for the math departments and I have taught lessons that teachers plan for that day.I enjoyed working with children and preparing lessons that allow me to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that the students could grasp. I enjoyed making math enjoyable, by showing students videos of how math can relate to the real world and having students playing games. It is my goal to combine my experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, and intelligent teacher/tutor.
