As a current professional still employed I do not take many students and have blackout dates from January to May for busy season. Both college and CPA study are my two main students I take. I am a graduate of both Georgian Court University and Kean University. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, a teaching certification for K-12, and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. I have been teaching World History, World Geography, and U.S. History for about nine years at a middle school in central New Jersey.Another endeavor undertaken by me is the founding and supervising of a district-wide peer mentoring program in which 8th grade students travel to connecting elementary schools to aide them with reading, writing, social, organizational, and study skills. I enjoy tutoring World History, US History, philosophy, psychology and language arts overall.I like to tutor in a team style. What I mean by that is I don't talk down to students. I have a very strong interest in pursuing a teaching and tutor career. I graduated in May 2017 from Georgian Court University with BA Mathematics.I have education experience on the high school level. In college, I had to take two courses called Intro Inclusive Education 60 hours and Co Plan/Teach Inclusive 90 hours. My 60 hours placement was Point Pleasant HS, where I learn methods of teaching and how diverse a classroom is. My 90 hours placement was Brick Memorial HS, where I taught 8 lessons and helped students with the material.I am a part time substitute teacher in the Brick Schools District. I substitute at the Vets Middle School and Lake Rivera. I usually am a substitute for the math departments and I have taught lessons that teachers plan for that day.I enjoyed working with children and preparing lessons that allow me to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that the students could grasp. I enjoyed making math enjoyable, by showing students videos of how math can relate to the real world and having students playing games.It is my goal to combine my experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, and intelligent teacher/tutor.

I grew up in a family of teachers and always knew I wanted to be one. I attended Georgian Court University as an English/Education major for my undergraduate degree, and also obtained as Master's Degree from there in Administration and Supervision. I enjoyed a career of thirty years as a middle school Language Arts teacher, a high school English teacher, and an interim Vice Principal in a k-5 elementary school.Helping students get better at reading comprehension and writing cohesive paragraphs as well as subject specific essays is my passion. I also enjoy providing assistance for basic math, science, and social studies activities.
