However, within the Caribbean, Trinidad also has a notorious reputation for rigorous academics and producing strong academic talent.After leaving my beloved island, I gained >700 SAT I and II scores and received an academic scholarship to attend my first choice, Georgetown University, where I majored in Mathematics, with a pre-medical concentration. During college, I pursued my passion for education. I taught SAT Mathematics to college-bound juniors and seniors and was dedicated to improving my students. I carefully nurtured my students individually and transformed them from barely scraping by on the SATs to having highly respectable scores that gained them entry to their choice of Ivy-league institution.Beyond the classroom, I have expressed my passion for educating others through Global Outreach and Patient Education, in countries like Trinidad, Ethiopia and Cape Verde. Apart from that, I paint, tap dance, play violin and try to head to a beach whenever I can.I hope that we can connect and I look forward to helping you prepare for your exams and future!
