As a Tutor, I have guided students through difficult texts and aided them with essay writing for three years. I have also tutored voluntarily, working with underprivileged youth, in SAT and college preparation. I am passionate about culture and the Arts; hence I teach a broad range of subjects, from Religious Studies to Music Theory. As my majors suggest, I am particularly strong with Philosophy and Music. What I love most of all, is learning new subjects for and with my students. My teaching style is dynamic. It's tailored to each student and subject. I work at whatever pace best suits them. I relate subject material to the student’s other interests to best engage him or her. The only things I keep the same for every student are the values I encourage: thoroughness and patience with regard to work ethic, curiosity and appreciation with regard to the material. Outside of tutoring, I like to listen to and compose music, read and write literature, play video games, and follow contemporary politics.
