10+ years of tutoring
Andrea
- I have 10+ years of experience working with students as a teacher, tutor, and mentor.
- I returned to the US this past summer after working as an ESL Teaching Assistant for the last 3 years in Madrid, Spain.
About Me
I graduated from Fordham University with a BA in International Political Economy and Spanish Language and Literature as well as a Business Minor. During my time in Spain, I worked on my own mastery of the Spanish language while teaching students ranging from preschool age to adults. I taught English in primary and secondary schools and also provided one to one in-home tutoring. I love teaching language because it gives the leaner many opportunities to connect with people all over the world on a different level. I feel that the discipline and dedication put forth to learn a new language shows a great deal of respect for the native speakers and their culture. I strive to make each session with my students fun, educational, and tailored to their specific goals. I like to emphasize each student's personal growth. It doesn't matter if the student is a beginner; the most important part is seeing self- improvement. In my free time I enjoy traveling, trivia games, karaoke and staying fit.
