I have a passion for helping others learn and setting specific goals that will meet the learner(s) needs, as well as expanding them to new horizons. I like to create stimulating lessons, using interactive technology, and tailor them to student's interests to keep lesson/sessions exciting! I also strive for student's to see the practical use of their learning, it's importance and how it is used in their everyday lives. I am a certified Microsoft Office Specialist and ESOL teacher, with 12+ years of experience. My 12 years of teaching includes: face to face classroom teaching, online teaching, and tutoring. For 11 years I have tutored math and science, full-time, with high school and college students. For many years I taught math (pre-algebra to pre-calculus) and science (biology, chemistry, and physics) in the classroom. I have taught both basic and honors courses. I have a Master's degree in psychology and 3 additional years of college credit in education-related courses. This breadth of knowledge makes me a better tutor. Students appreciate my ability to describe things in a variety of ways to match their needs. They often thank me for my patience. I love my work. One of my goals is to help each student understand completely so that they can love to learn, too. I also love knitting and crocheting. My teaching experience consists of a total of 17.5 years, 13 years in Texas and 4.5 years in Oklahoma. I attended East Central University and received a degree in Biology. I have been trained to work with students in various programs including: Pre-AP, Cosmos (focusing on the students that wish to go into medical professions), GT, and other trainings for curriculum development and the teaching processes. I have trained other teachers in an online program called Quizlet. I am familiar with a couple of other such programs as well.

I received my B.A. in English Literature at East Central University, a teacher's training college. I became certified in Grammar/Composition and American and English Literature. I taught five years in public school schools.I recently completed a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Full Sail University, a school established by Universal Studios.
