About Me

For 11 years I have tutored math and science, full-time, with high school and college students. For many years I taught math (pre-algebra to pre-calculus) and science (biology, chemistry, and physics) in the classroom. I have taught both basic and honors courses. I have a Master's degree in psychology and 3 additional years of college credit in education-related courses. This breadth of knowledge makes me a better tutor. Students appreciate my ability to describe things in a variety of ways to match their needs. They often thank me for my patience. I love my work. One of my goals is to help each student understand completely so that they can love to learn, too. I also love knitting and crocheting. In addition to teaching the basics, I encourage needelworkers to develop their creativity so that they can design their own projects.
