I have been a Varsity Tutor for 4 years now and recently taught Calculus II at Rutgers University. My specialty is Calculus I and II as well as AP Calc AB and BC. I have been teaching and tutoring high school math since 2001! With Bachelor's and Master's degrees in education, I have spent 13 years in the classroom teaching everything from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus AB. Four of those years were spent overseas, where my students were primarily English language learners. I have recently retired from a position as design engineer from a small steel-and-refractory fabricator, building lumber kilns for the timber industry. I feel very fortunate to have had this rewarding niche market occupation that put my engineering education to work and provided me with an exciting and varied hands-on real-world experience.
