I earned my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from Athens State University. I later earned a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Alabama State University. I am deeply passionate about helping students because I believe education is one of the most powerful tools for personal transformation. Supporting someone through their learning journey not only builds their confidence but also opens doors to future opportunities they might not have imagined. It is incredibly rewarding to witness that "aha" moment when a challenging concept finally clicks, and I am grateful for the chance to be a part of that process. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with students in a variety of settingsboth one-on-one and in small group sessions. I have tutored learners of different ages and academic levels, helping them develop not just content knowledge but also study skills, organization, and critical thinking. Each student brings a unique set of strengths and challenges, and I have learned to adapt my approach to meet their individual needs. I tutor a range of subjects, including Reading and Math. I enjoy it because it combines analytical thinking with creativity, and it allows students to explore different perspectives while building strong foundational skills. My teaching philosophy centers around patience, encouragement, and clarity. I believe that every student can learn with the right guidance and support. I focus on creating a positive and comfortable environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. My tutoring style is interactive and student-centered. I ask guiding questions, encourage exploration, and tailor each session to the student's learning style and goals.
Nothing will change your life like the ability to learn new things. I knew at six years old that I wanted to teach, and now I've been teaching a little bit of everything for 32 years. I've taught English from grade 8 to college, as well as a variety of science classes and electives at the high school level. I've taught students to dissect frogs, rhetoric, and complex literary texts. I've taught them to build simple websites, budgets, and compelling arguments. We've done maps and meditation. I have a master's degree in English and hold teaching certifications in both English and science. I've taught groups and tutored individually from remedial levels to AP and college courses, and I've mentored a significant number of new teachers. Struggling with ADHD? Let me share some coping skills I've developed for myself. Whether you're trying to pass a class or a college entrance exam--or even become a teacher yourself--I'd love to help.
I am a graduate of Athens State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education and TESOL Certification. Since Graduating, I have been tutoring online all over the world and in the classroom. I have taught different age groups, cultures, and subjects. I am very enthusiastic about the English Language and teaching all aspects of reading, writing, spelling, grammar, pronunciation, and comprehension. My philosophy is that all children and adults are unique and must have a motivating educational environment where they can grow to their potential. It is my goal to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential with productive, fun, and engaging tutoring.
I am passionate about helping students because when I was one it felt like many teachers only taught 1 way; and normally the way they taught wasn't a way that was easy for me. I have worked with all ages and ability levels and I love finding out what makes each child unlock their potential. I then teach them in the way their brain works best, even if it's not the most traditional route. I am currently a student at Athens State University College of Education in my senior year. I am a K-6Elementary and Collaborative Education major with a minor in Autism and Developmental Disabilities. While I am comfortable with all elementary and special education courses I am most passionate about mathematics, science, and English. I am also an artist; I am a professional photographer but I am also a painter, drawer, reader, and writer. I am working currently with students on the spectrum, children with ADHD, and children with dyslexia as well as "neurotypical" students so rest assured I have the experience to assist your learner in a way to help them thrive
Hello! My name is Ruth Seibert and I graduated in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in Educational Studies. I have been a tutor for over a year, assisting students of a wide variety of ages. For my college and high school students, I provide guidance in creating and revising essays. We work on everything from thesis statements, to structure, formatting, and proofreading for grammar mistakes. With elementary students, I provide assistance in learning ELA and completing mathematics homework. Tutoring lets me connect with each of my students, individually, and see exactly what they need. I can adjust my teaching methods based on the desires of each student I work with. It brings me great joy to help students on their path of learning, and I would love to help you as well!
I am a graduate with a bachelor's in psychology from Athens State University who has a passion to help others and share what I have learned both academically and through life experiences. I want to help anyone going through challenges as they are apart of our everyday life. I also believe that learning can be fun if approached in the right way and that we are always learning in some form or fashion. I believe knowledge is so important because it helps us in understanding the world around us. I was an after school teacher and karate instructor at Alexander Martial Arts before COVID came. I am presently planning on furthering my education in the fall to receive my Master's degree and become a licensed therapist.
