About Me

I am a biomedical engineer working in orthopedic research. My degree is from Arizona State University in Biomedical Engineering. I have experience helping people learn in many different stages of life, from age 3 to adults, including preschool, elementary, middle school, as well as high school students. I love math and science and I love sharing that love with other people. Technology is also a passion of mine and I have experience helping people get up to speed with helpful skills for the professional environment. As a tutor, I believe that everyone benefits from encouragement - so many times the barrier to learning is confidence! Students often know more than they realize, and I like to guide the student in the process of discovering their own natural talents. I like to teach using questions and supporting students through active problem solving from the beginning. I recently moved to the Twin Cities from Arizona and I love exploring the outdoors while hiking and running around the lakes, enjoying the new climate and the new plants and animals. I also enjoy meditation and yoga. I'm a life long learner, always pursing interesting new ideas in science and medicine. I'm especially an anatomy nerd.
