It has always been a passion of mine to explore the details of science. Within these details, my curiosity engages me to pry and ask more questions. One of the ways I am able to do this is at my lab at Hopkins where I do research and design experiments on the neuronal membrane proteasome. Tutoring allows me to spread my passion for biology and chemistry, while also challenging my scientific knowledge. I encourage students to ask questions, will teach them how to apply their knowledge, and emphasize why an answer is correct. Getting the correct answer is not as important as understanding the fundamentals as to how someone arrives at that answer. I have previous experience teaching science through leading study groups at college and teaching high schoolers at my previous lab the fundamentals of biology, experimentation, and laboratory techniques. Outside of classwork, I have played saxophone for 11 years, enjoy running, and am a big New York sports fan.
