Certified Tutor

I am a student at the University of Washington. I have music teaching experience with high school and jr. high students. I also have experience tutoring high school and college level students in Writing, English, and Political Science.

I currently tutor jr. High, high school, and college level English and Writing. I specialize in college entrance essays, as well as research papers and generic essays. I also tutor Algebra, (P)SAT Math, (P)SAT Writing, and (P)SAT Reading. Finally, I have extensive experience giving private Fiddle, Mandolin, and Guitar lessons, specializing in Bluegrass music.

My teaching style is both high energy, and detail oriented. I believe it is most important to immediately find a starting point, make short and long-term goals, then evaluate results and make adjustments. During sessions, I love cracking jokes and having fun. I believe that a positive attitude and a smile are two of the best learning tools anyone can have.

When I'm not tutoring or studying, I love Bass fishing, hiking, snowboarding, or anything else outdoors!
