Certified Tutor

I graduated with my Master's in English Education in 2013, and I am currently a 6th and 7th grade Humanities teacher working in the New York City public school system. I've had the opportunity to work with a wide range of students - from those in gifted and talented programs to English Language Learners to students with special needs - in their journey to becoming great readers and writers! While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about cultivating strong literacy skills and a love of reading in all my students. I've found that discovering what books interest my students can give me wonderful insight into who they are and who they are becoming. I am committed to and passionate about literacy, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading that which enriches my life, running, trying out new restaurants with friends, going to the movies and exploring new neighborhoods in the five boroughs.
