I am a graduate of Wilmington University where I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education K-12. I have also obtained my Master's degree at American College of Education for English Language Development. As an experienced elementary teacher with seven years of dedicated service in the classroom, I have cultivated a profound passion for nurturing young minds and fostering academic growth. I teach a variety of subjects but my personal favorite is Phonics and English Language Arts. By providing targeted instruction, personalized feedback, and individualized learning plans, I strive to empower students to reach their full potential and achieve their academic goals.

I have been an educator for 20 years. I have worked with students K-12 as a school counselor and assistant principal. I major in Spanish as I received my Bachelor's degree. I am a strong believer that learning a new language can open many doors and provide multiple opportunities.
In my career as a resource room teacher I have created a warm, positive environment in my classroom where my students feel welcomed and are encouraged to learn new things. The best reward as a teacher is seeing the difference you can make in the life of a student who has special learning needs. When you can make learning new concepts a fun and attainable goal for your students, that is the best feeling! My biggest success with my group of students over the last few years has been in the area of language arts. Through my training in Wilson Just Words and Fundations, I have taught non-readers how to use word attack skills, and multi-sensory tools in order to read and write. Watching the progress of my students in this area has been the most amazing experience!
College Professor with 8 years of Math Teaching Experience and TESOL Cert.If you are looking for an experienced Math teacher to help your child overcome their fear of math, I am here to help!I taught math in Middle School, High School, and College level. Additionally, I taught summer programs like GEAR UP and Summer Institute for the Gifted and did private tutoring. I started teaching Business Math, Statistics and Calculus, but quickly realized that foundational mathematics was what a lot of my students needed. Some were told that math was hard, others had elementary teachers that were scared of math themselves, and still others did not have good experiences with the content. But, together, we can overcome all that!I believe, and know, that each child is able to learn and be good at math! We need to build their skills and confidence. A patient teacher is needed, as well as a creative approach to teaching the concepts. The teacher should not be a lecturer but a coach that helps the child discover the path to the answer. I look forward to helping your child love math! Sign up for one of my classes today!
As a teacher, I find no greater joy than that of helping a student learn and reach his or her greatest potential. Every student deserves an opportunity to achieve goals, aspirations, and even dreams; as a teacher, I am provided the opportunity to facilitate, coach, and teach the student towards success in learning.
I am a graduate of the University of Delaware. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a concentration in Education. I went on to receive my Masters Degree in Secondary Education and Special Education. I am currently a Special Education teacher at a high school in Passaic Valley. Part of my daily responsibilities is tutoring students after class to help all different types of learners reach the same goal - understanding! The subjects that I tutor do not include only those in the social sciences, but also reading and writing skills. Reading and writing are crucial skills for all learners, and for any type of career path that a student chooses to follow. If my experience in education has taught me anything, it is that there are many different types of learning styles and it is meeting the need of that learning style that will help to foster appropriate understanding. Outside of the classroom, I also help coach wrestling and football at the high school, which are my passions outside of the academic sphere.
