About Me
As a teacher with 15 years of experience in both regular and special education in the public schools, I am passionate about finding ways for all students to learn and achieve. I meet everyone where they are and find ways of getting them to the next level and beyond. I have expertise in a wide variety of techniques and methods. I am knowledgeable of IEPs (having written at least 300 in my career). I have worked with students as young as Kindergarten or as old as high school seniors. I have worked with students who are gifted and talented, students who are average performers, and many, many students with a wide variety of disabilities, from mild to severe. I have taught remotely for an entire school year (2020-2021 and half of the prior year. I have a M-Ed from Wilmington University and a B-Eng from the University of Delaware. I have completed many, many course hours since graduation to increase my overall proficiency and efficacy. I am passionate about finding ways for children to learn. ALL children can learn, some in traditional ways, some in non-traditional ways. Finding the way to ensure that students succeed is very important to me and to the world.
