I graduated in 2011 with degrees in French and Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. This is also where I began tutoring as part of a volunteer tutoring program at a local elementary school. I loved working one-on-one with the children, teaching them Reading, Spelling, or Math and watching their improvement week by week. But most of all, I loved seeing what a difference it makes to form a personal connection with each student, and this is why I have continued tutoring over the past several years. My passion for language has also combined perfectly with my passion for tutoring. When I studied abroad in Dijon, France, I taught English at a French preschool and also led English conversation classes with international students at my university. I also spent a year teaching English to students at a high school in France. Since then, I have had extensive experience tutoring French, most recently with private sessions in my Connecticut hometown.My favorite subject to tutor is French, because I love to make grammar more fun by integrating my passion for French life, culture, and food. I also am available to tutor in English, Psychology, and test preparation. In any subject I tutor, I like to make sure students are not afraid of their subject matter and are enjoying themselves! My calm, patient, and compassionate nature makes it easy for my students to feel at ease and not to be intimidated by what they are learning. I also focus on my students learning styles so that each student can learn in the most productive and successful way possible. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy cooking, playing the piano, listening to music, trying new foods, traveling, and most of all spending time with my family and friends.

My name is Adam and I have twenty years of professional experience in Education. I hold a Bachelors Degree in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin Madison and a Masters of Arts in Education from the American Jewish University. I love to help young people find joy in reading and writing and sharpening their skills. In addition, I love to learn about current events and to examine what happen in the past. I currently attend the University of Wisconsin, Madison. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Sciences in Applied Mathematics in Computer Science and a certificate in Digital Studies. Throughout college I have volunteered with Badger Volunteers at an underprivileged elementary school where I tutored in Reading and Mathematics. I have also privately tutored middle school and high school students in Mathematics. I am extremely passionate about Math, and I tutor at many different levels, from Elementary School Math to ACT Math. More specifically, I also tutor Algebra, Calculus 1, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. I also have experience coding, and I tutor Java. I have a lot of experience working with children, as I was a camp counselor at a sleep-away camp for many years. This has allowed me to become extremely patient and has grown my passion of working with kids. In my spare time, I enjoy dancing, as I was a competitive dancer in high school.

I am a student at the University of Wisconsin - Madison majoring in Spanish and Biology. Outside of school I volunteer at a hospital and enjoy running and being outdoors. I have had a lot of experience tutoring high school students in calculus, spanish, science, many levels of math and english. I love to learn and I want others to enjoy learning as well. When helping others it is imperative to me that the student truly understands a concept and can reason through a problem independently. I will do everything I can for a student to understand a concept by simplifying a concept to aid in understanding. I can not wait to help others enjoy learning and gain reasoning skills that will help them in the future.

I have 15 years of experience as a teacher, at both the high school and college levels. I began as a French teacher and later branched out into English, ESL, history, and cultural studies. As an ESL teacher, I provided students with academic support in all subjects. I know that each student has a unique set of talents, experiences, and interests. My goal as a tutor is to help students draw on their strengths, build confidence, and develop skills. As a tutor, I have worked with a diverse range of students on essay writing, test preparation, and homework help.

Greetings! I am a former teacher (five years!) and have currently taken a break to go back to school to further my own education. I am a graduate student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education learning the fundamentals of school leadership. While I am so excited to be a student again, I already miss teaching!I have taught math for five years and absolutely love it. My favorite is working with students who struggle in math and think they will never be successful. I love working with these students because I feel confident that I can present the material in simple, new ways that will make them feel GOOD at math in a way they may never have felt before. (It has happened in the past, I promise!)Math is so fun to me, and math literacy is absolutely crucial to be a well functioning part of this world. I have taught math at every level between 6th and 10th grade and feel confident in my knowledge and how I can deliver it to my students.
