I worked in Federal and State government for over 30 years, where I had to utilize my training in geography and mathematics. My specialties include physical geography of the United States and urban and regional geography. I have also tutored French at the university level and taught a French course at a charter school in Phoenix.I have traveled extensively in the United States and Europe and have made trips to China and North Africa. I am better able to appreciate my travels, since I have a background in geography. My knowledge of French has proven beneficial in that I have made many summer trips to France over the last 25 years and I have also traveled to Switzerland, Belgium, and Morocco on various occasions.I enjoy sharing my passion for French, geography, and mathematics with others. Everybody learns, and everybody learns differently. The importance of pedagogy, the practice of teaching, cannot be overstated. It is not enough to share knowledge; knowledge must be communicated. This is the philosophy by which I have tutored and by which I currently tutor.
