I graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and a teaching certificate in Secondary Education. Currently, I am attending Montclair University for my Master's in Educational Leadership. I have been teaching for six years in a variety of subjects, including Literature, Journalism, Public Speaking, Modes of Writing, and SAT. As the Journalism teacher in my current school district, I have sole responsibility over the school newspaper. I have tutored students mostly at the high school level for SAT and Language Arts help, but also have some experience with middle and elementary school.As a teacher, I emphasize writing and communication as they are highly transferable skills in any field. I have high expectations of my students and teach a rigorous curriculum, some of which I designed myself. I always try to relate my lessons to real life or student interests. I often bring up pop culture references in my lessons.As for my personal life, some of my fandoms include: Lord of the Rings, Final Fantasy, anime/manga, Lady Gaga, musicals, video games, DDP yoga, mud runs, rock climbing, and other generally "nerdy" things.

As a young child, I was excited about school and loved any opportunity to learn about events and people. I grew up in Parsippany, New Jersey and went through their public school system from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The teachers I had made me feel like I had something to offer the world. I immersed myself in books and new experiences and wrote about the things I discovered and imagined. My passion for investigating and writing lead me to Ramapo College of NJ where I studied Communications, Journalism, and Political Science. After completing many internships in news and public relations, attending a Capitol Semester in Washington D.C., and writing for the Ramapo News, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts.Quickly after graduation, I realized that this career wasn't going to fulfill me in the way I thought it would. I thought back to my babysitting, nanny, and tutoring jobs and realized that nothing else in my life had ever made me feel as gratified as creating an environment for children to grow, feel nurtured, and learn. Children taught me so much about myself in my young adulthood and the idea of being an educator where I could make a career out of teaching and learning seemed like the obvious choice. I quickly applied for teacher assistant and aide jobs in schools nearby and applied to Montclair State University. There, I am pursuing my Master's and teaching certifications in Elementary Education and Students with Disabilities.Working in Special Education as a classroom aide for 1.5 years in Wharton, and then substitute teaching in Parsippany for the following year, affirmed for me that I had found my niche. My coursework at MSU combined with my work experience and my student teaching experience has allowed me to develop a teaching style that welcomes and values all students and families, understands how to address the diverse learning needs present in modern day classrooms, and build cooperative communities that reach all students.

As a neuroscience student, I have taken a fair share of math classes. With over 2 years of experience tutoring college students and my CRLA Level I International Tutor Training I know how to help.

Hi! I'm Cassidy, I'm 20 years old, and I'm from New Jersey. I am a junior in college majoring in Education with minors in English and Psychology. In 2021, I will be certified to teach K-8 all subjects. In addition to teaching, I love crafting and spending time with my dogs.

I have been tutoring since high school and always enjoyed one on one interaction with student, because research shows you learn best one on one because it is completely personalized based on student needs.I have a wide spectrum of experience from K to higher education. I have 15 years tutoring experience, 6 years teaching in public schools and 3 years teaching at the college level. Currently, I am a math consultant for schools in the NYC area.I have my BS in Mathematics, certified K-12, my MS in Educational Technology and soon will earn my MA in Educational Leadership.I am a firm believer in growth mindset and all students can learn math!

I am a graduate of Ramapo College where I received my bachelors degree. I am currently a candidate for my Masters in Elementary Education at William Paterson University. I have worked in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 5th grade, and I really enjoy working with students who struggle with English and Language Arts. I have very fond memories as a child of visiting the library in the summer and having a general love for reading. I find that students who struggle in these areas continue to struggle in all areas of their education. I take great pride in working with my students and making valuable changes in their education lives. In my spare time I enjoy cooking and hot yoga.

I am a graduate student at Mercy College, studying to earn my Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Two things I am passionate about are movement, and helping people, which luckily fits very nicely to my career goals. Education is so important and should be a fun experience for everyone. By helping students on an individual level, I hope to make learning science more enjoyable. Biology is my specialty but can help explain basic concepts in Chemistry and Physics as well. I have helped a variety of students, ranging from 2nd grade to undergraduate in college. In my spare time, I am often studying, running, playing with my two dogs, or watching sports (football, hockey, and basketball are my favorites, but I'll watch anything).

Excited to be able to help students learn in a way that fits them! Everyone is capable of learning, but we don't all learn the same. With some creativity and outside-the-box thinking, I can help break down concepts into smaller pieces, helping students understand step by step.As a registered dietitian, I counsel clients in food and nutrition. I received my masters degree in 2019 from Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown and I am really looking forward to sharing my love of the sciences with students of all ages!Outside of academia I love to read and watch some tv, so always up for a conversation about books, shows or movies as well!

I am a graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey with a degree in Spanish Language Studies and a certification from the state of New Jersey to teach Spanish K-12. Because of my passion for language learning, I am interested in teaching Spanish, teaching English as a Second Language, and teaching English abroad. I am also interested in Social Work, because I love working with people, especially youth and children. I am particularly passionate about at-risk education that expands opportunities to those from backgrounds of lower socioeconomic status.

I am a lifetime learner. I'm always looking to broaden my knowledge through reading and writing, and how those skills apply to my life experiences. My goal is to inspire students, in any way I can. I always knew teaching and tutoring was what I wanted to do with my career. I am going on my 5th year in education, and throughout my experiences I've connected with many kids and families. This has further affirmed my belief that education is the only career for me.

As a passionate tutor with a Bachelor's in Biology from Ramapo College, and a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, I aim to make education both enjoyable and personalized. I specialize in subjects such as anatomy, physiology, microbiology, chemistry, and college level biology, creating a supportive environment where students feel empowered to explore and engage with the material. I believe in fostering curiosity and critical thinking, ensuring that each session is not only informative but also inspiring. My ultimate goal is to encourage successful learning and study techniques that last a lifetime, guiding students toward continued academic success and personal growth.

Teaching is a heart-driven vocation and working from the heart is what it's all about for me. Making a difference in the lives of my students and believing in what I teach is my passion. Language learning should be curiosity-driven, vigorous, enjoyable, and should give emphasis to student self-expression.My objective as a native Spanish Teacher who was born in the Dominican Republic is to show my enthusiasm and motivation on the subject for my students to also become motivated and furthermore advance toward a level of independence where they have developed a desire to learn more and think for themselves. Language must be taught in the context of culture, and it is therefore, my responsibility to bring in my cultural background as well as my knowledge of other Hispanic and Latino cultures for the students to learn about.
