About Me

I graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and a teaching certificate in Secondary Education. Currently, I am attending Montclair University for my Master's in Educational Leadership. I have been teaching for six years in a variety of subjects, including Literature, Journalism, Public Speaking, Modes of Writing, and SAT. As the Journalism teacher in my current school district, I have sole responsibility over the school newspaper. I have tutored students mostly at the high school level for SAT and Language Arts help, but also have some experience with middle and elementary school. As a teacher, I emphasize writing and communication as they are highly transferable skills in any field. I have high expectations of my students and teach a rigorous curriculum, some of which I designed myself. I always try to relate my lessons to real life or student interests. I often bring up pop culture references in my lessons. As for my personal life, some of my fandoms include: Lord of the Rings, Final Fantasy, anime/manga, Lady Gaga, musicals, video games, DDP yoga, mud runs, rock climbing, and other generally "nerdy" things.
