I've served as a tutor for various organizations for over five years. I hold a Bachelors in English Literature, a Masters of Public Administration, and a Law Degree. I love tutoring and helping students achieve their academic goals. I'd be happy to serve as your tutor!

Hi there and thank you for choosing to view my profile. I would like to assist those who need help with a variety of topics not limited to math and economics. Previously served as a mentor in the Atlanta school area I look forward to being of help and service.
If by Rudyard Kipling is my favorite poem. I don't eat cheese. I love screenwriting and Twizzlers King Size packs. But we'll get to that later.I earned my Bachelors of Arts degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. While I am not teacher, I have much experience as a tutor, previously working on a solely volunteer basis via faith-based organizations in my hometown of Memphis, TN, as well as through the Shelby County School system.I've always been a naturally successful academic student but approaching high school, I learned that to be wholly successful, it takes a lot more than natural smarts. I worked hard at teaching myself various effective studying methods as well as time management skills so that I could succeed in my own academic career and be adequately prepared for furthering my education. Thus, I am now able to pass on these knowledge and skills to the students I work with and help them accurately prepare for their future.I highly believe that every student is different and very rarely take the same approach to two students, as they're rarely alike. Their interests, ideas, ways of thinking and operational abilities all vary and I always make sure to assess what's best for the student first. I have to get to know them and introduce them to strategies best suited for their learning, which in turn changes their work from a chore into something they look forward to and fully understand. My job as their tutor is to work with them to improve their current abilities and provide each student with all tools necessary to be able to move forward, continuing their success, independently. I'm not here to feed them but rather to show them how to feed themselves.I look forward to working with you/your child!
I am a graduate of Morehouse College, the Stanford School of Engineering, and the NYU School of Law. While at Morehouse, Stanford and NYU, I served as a tutor and teaching assistant in subjects such as mathematics, physics, finance, and law. Since graduation, I have worked impact investing space as an investor, lawyer, and program manager. I have also coached students at the University of Baltimore and tutored aspiring lawyers for the Bar.Where I can be most useful to someone looking for a tutor is helping them understand how to master the Bar Exam, LSAT, and understanding scope and methods behind types of financial and mathematical analysis.
I was born in the USA and spent over 20 years in the US Navy so I have lived in a few other locations outside of the country (Puerto Rico, Guam, Japan, and Indonesia). With degrees in Computer Science and an MBA, I am well versed in technical and business topics and language expressions but also I am a writer/reader/artist so also very familiar with less technical informal English.Life has allowed me to visit many countries and to meet even more fascinating and wonderful people. English is a bridge that allows us to communicate and connect in unique ways. I have taught English for over 5 years and enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of a student reaching their fluency goals and showing them the priceless value of English fluency. This is one of the sources of joy as a teacher, mentor, coach and friend.I look forward to helping you achieve your English goals.
I am a graduate of both Morehouse College and The University of Michigan as a result of being apart of the Dual Degree Engineering Program. I received my B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering as well as a B.S. in General Sciences with a minor in Mathematics. During college and since graduation, I have lived and tutored in various regions of the country including but not limited to Atlanta, California, Connecticut, Michigan, and New York. I have worked with various ages from small children in elementary school to older persons returning back to college to obtain a degree. In my experience, many people struggle with STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), and sometimes they just need a different view to understand the content information in front of them. In addition, I have a more patient approach to helping others understand because I believe in reducing the frustration that students are already experiencing with subject materials and not adding to it. It is about developing a mutually beneficial relationship where both the student and myself enjoy learning from each other and students exceeding competence in understanding the subject they have difficulty in. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, listening to music, singing, and exercise.
I am a graduate of Morehouse College with a B.S. in mathematics and a graduate of Wake Forest University with a M.A. in Mathematics. I currently serve as a math teacher at an Atlanta private high school, and have tutored mathematics for over a decade. I take pleasure in guiding students to that light bulb moment, where everything makes sense. I believe no one is incapable of learning anything. It is only a difference of how they learn. I see it as my job as a tutor to meet each student where they are, and cater the lesson plan to their learning style. We all can master math, it is just being confident enough in yourself to do so.
I believe that all students can achieve their full academic potential when given the right amount of encouragement and support.
A smart man makes a mistake, learns from it, and never makes that mistake again. But a wise man finds a smart man and learns from him how to avoid the mistake altogether.- Roy H. WilliamsI have taught for over 5 years with all different age groups, and I was awarded rookie teacher of the year for 2009. Throughout the years I have found that effective teaching always involves forming great rapports with students to allow an atmosphere of positive learning.
Professional Life:I have five years of real estate experience. I received my real estate license in 2017 and worked at Redfin in the Associate Agent and Lead Agent roles. I started my law career as an associate at an Atlanta-based real estate firm. I then opened my own firm where I continue to practice residential real estate law. I am licensed to practice in Georgia.College:I attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and earned a B.A. degree in Economics. I also hold a M.A. degree in Arts Management from George Mason University.Law School:I graduated from Georgia State University College of Law. I have been a member of the Georgia Bar since 2019.Tutoring Style: I take a practical and relaxed approach to tutoring. My goal is to help tutees understand the material and to apply the skills they learn to practice. Patience and effective communication create an environment conducive for learning!
I am a dedicated, committed, and enthusiastic educator who strongly believes that curriculum and assessment operate hand-in-hand and that the two areas should inform educational outcomes in order to improve the formal and informal learning experiences for all of Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade students. When I was a South Bronx youth, my young parents worked all the time and my grandparents, aunts, and uncles supported me while obtaining my education in New York City. It is my belief that a highly motivated student can accomplish any academic goal(s) s/he puts their mind to. Learning is a process; concepts build on each other. Knowledge mastery is a goal the student strives towards. As a tutor, I hope to guide, support, and encourage the student to think critically and analytically about her or his education inside and outside the classroom walls
